What you get

Everything that is in the box

Not a prototype and not a template. Each line below is a feature that exists, is wired end to end, and is guarded on the server where it needs to be.

Catalog & discovery

A full editorial catalog, not a list of embeds.

  • Series, movies, short films, collections and songs — each with its own index, filters and SEO copy
  • Title pages with synopsis, cast and crew, tropes, genres, ratings, episode lists and release order
  • Creator and channel pages, built from the YouTube Data API and refreshed nightly
  • Search across titles, creators and collections, with type, language and status filters
  • Curated home rails, “more to explore” recirculation, and long-form guides
  • An 18+ corner behind a single yes/no age gate, with the RTA label and its own legal page
  • Slug redirects, so a renamed title never becomes a 404

The watch experience

Everything around the player that a viewer actually notices.

  • A click-to-load YouTube facade — no third-party script until the viewer presses play
  • Resume-where-you-left-off progress, watch history and a cross-device watchlist
  • Share links with attribution, and a /share router that resolves them
  • A nightly source-health job that pulls a title the moment its video goes private, is deleted or is region-blocked
  • Report-a-problem flow, rate-limited per title, feeding an admin queue

Accounts & access control

Passwordless auth with real server-side authorization.

  • Magic-link sign-in (NextAuth v5 + Prisma adapter) — no passwords to leak
  • Profile, avatar picker, language and notification preferences
  • In-app notifications with read/unread state
  • Account deletion requests and account status lifecycle
  • Three roles — member, editor, admin — resolved through one capability table, enforced on the server on every page and action
  • Rate limiting, an audit log of staff actions, and a route-access test that fails the build when a new page is neither public by decision nor guarded

Memberships & payments

A complete ₹99/month subscription lifecycle, built and tested.

  • Razorpay subscription checkout, signature verification, and a signed webhook with an idempotent event log
  • A 3-day trial that needs no card, and one trial per account
  • One entitlement engine deciding access — trial, active, cancelled, past-due, expired, staff
  • Cancel, renew, grace period, failed renewal, re-subscribe, and the emails that go with them
  • Member-facing subscription screens plus an admin subscriptions and payments view
  • The whole paywall sits behind a single flag and is currently switched OFF — the catalog plays free while the audience is built (see the notes below)

IndianBL Scouts — a paying discovery program

Readers get paid to find titles the catalog is missing.

  • Public program page, join flow and eligibility rules
  • Suggest-a-title form with YouTube parsing and duplicate detection
  • An editor review queue: approve, decline with reasons, mark duplicate, request info, reverse inside the hold window
  • ₹100 per accepted title, a double-entry ledger, and a monthly budget cap
  • UPI payout methods, payout identity, a withdrawal desk and CSV exports
  • Leaderboards, program settings and a scout finance dashboard

IndianBL Stories — a paying writer program

Original fiction, moderated, with earnings attached to engagement.

  • Writer profiles, drafts, versioned submissions and an editorial review loop
  • A public feed with language and topic filters, story pages and per-writer pages
  • Likes, comments and shares — with share visits attributed, so a share only earns when it brings a new member
  • Per-story earnings, settlements, forfeits and voids, all in the same wallet as Scouts
  • Moderation queues for stories and comments, plus writer management and program settings

Growth, SEO & analytics

The work that makes the catalog findable.

  • Structured data on every page — organization, website, breadcrumbs, video, series, FAQ
  • Sitemap, robots, canonical URLs and IndexNow pings on publish
  • Generated Open Graph images, PWA manifest and the full icon set
  • GA4 with sanitized page views, staff excluded from measurement, and named events on every call to action
  • Transactional email through Resend or SMTP, with previewable templates

Engineering

A current stack, deployed and running.

  • Next.js 16 App Router with React 19 Server Components, TypeScript in strict mode, Tailwind CSS
  • Prisma with PostgreSQL (Neon), 19 migrations, seeds and demo data
  • Deployed on Vercel in the Mumbai-adjacent sin1 region, with preview deployments
  • Scheduled jobs for source health, stats, trials, scouting and stories
  • 667 automated tests across 47 files, plus end-to-end and exploit scripts
  • Feature flags for every program, so a buyer can turn parts on and off without a rewrite

Operations

A 34-screen admin console, not a database viewer

The back office is a product in its own right: every screen has search, filters, pagination, confirmation on destructive actions, and permission checks enforced on the server. Editors and admins see different things.

Catalog

  • Dashboard
  • Content list, editor and new-title form
  • Episodes and release order
  • Creators
  • Collections
  • Songs, song editor and song discovery
  • YouTube import, search and candidates

People & money

  • Users and roles
  • Subscriptions and payments
  • Withdrawal desk
  • Scouts and scout detail
  • Scouting finance and settings
  • Collaborator applications

Moderation

  • Reports queue
  • Scout suggestions queue
  • Stories queue and story detail
  • Story comments
  • Writers and writer detail
  • Stories settings
  • Audit log

Roles are a capability table, not a list of if-statements: an editor can publish a title and moderate a story, and cannot see anyone’s email address, money or payout details. Staff actions are written to an audit log.

The deal

What transfers

  • The name itself: the indianbl.com domain, the @theindianbl Instagram account and the @theindianbl YouTube channel — the same handle on every surface
  • The full source code and its Git history
  • The Prisma schema, all 19 migrations and the seed data
  • The curated catalog database — titles, episodes, creators, songs and collections
  • The design system: brand marks, colours, typography, icons and generated brand assets
  • The written product specification, program BRDs and engineering docs
  • Handover of the Vercel, Neon, Razorpay and analytics projects

This page is a description, not an offer. The exact scope, timing and terms of a transfer are agreed in writing first.

Read this before you enquire

The catalog is a curation layer over Hindi BL content that creators publish on YouTube. IndianBL does not own that video, and YouTube’s terms do not allow charging for access to embedded videos — which is why the ₹99/month paywall is built, tested, and deliberately switched off.

What that leaves a buyer is a finished distribution and community product with a complete billing system waiting for something it can legitimately sell: original stories, licensed or self-hosted video, creator partnerships, or membership perks that are not playback. That is the honest version, and it is better said here than discovered afterwards.

Questions

Before you write

Is the price negotiable, and how does a sale work?
Email the owner and say what you have in mind. Nothing here is an offer or a contract — what transfers, when, and on what terms is settled in writing before any money moves. Payment and transfer would go through an escrow both sides agree on.
Is the product live and does it have users?
Yes — it is deployed at indianbl.com with a real curated catalog and real accounts. The numbers at the top of this page are read live from the production-shaped database, not written by hand. Traffic, revenue and audience figures are shared with a serious buyer on request.
Where does the video come from? Do you own it?
No, and the product never claimed to. IndianBL is a curation layer over Hindi BL content that creators publish on YouTube: every video plays from the creator's own channel, with the creator credited and linked. That is a deliberate design, and it is the thing a buyer most needs to understand before making plans for it.
Then why is the ₹99/month paywall switched off?
Because YouTube's terms do not allow charging for access to embedded videos. The subscription system is complete and tested, and it is the right foundation for charging for something the platform does own — original stories, licensed or self-hosted video, or memberships that sell perks rather than playback. It ships off rather than deleted so that turning it on is a deployment, not a rewrite.
Does the name come with it?
Yes — that is the point of the price. The indianbl.com domain, the @theindianbl Instagram account and the @theindianbl YouTube channel transfer with the product, so the buyer owns the same name on every surface rather than relaunching a catalog under a new one. The Instagram account is live; the YouTube channel is claimed and has not started publishing.
What does the buyer have to run?
A Vercel project, a Postgres database, a Razorpay account if you charge, and an email sender. Everything else is in the repository. The two earnings programs pay real people, so if you keep them running you inherit that obligation — they can also be switched off with a flag without stranding anyone's balance.
